To become an MOT Tester, you must meet the DVSA's eligibility criteria and pass the Level 3 Pre-Entry Accreditation, a DVSA-recognized qualification. Additionally, you'll need to obtain the Level 2 Award in MOT Testing Certificate and pass the VT8 demonstration MOT test, monitored by the DVSA.
After qualifying, you'll need to undergo MOT annual training and pass an annual assessment to maintain your MOT Tester status. Failure to meet these requirements may result in the withdrawal of your Tester status by the DVSA.
